Orlando SunRail opens southern extension

FLORIDA’s SunRail opened its southern extension on June 30, with four new stations added to the commuter rail line in Orlando, United States.

The operator’s new 27.3km route runs from Meadow Woods in Orange County to Tupperware, Kissimmee and Poinciana in Osceola County.

A new schedule, now in effect, features more mid-day services, as well as a service later at night. SunRail is also offering a “First 50 Free” promotion to riders whose trip originates at any of the four new southern stations from June 30 to August 17.

SunRail now operates on a total of 51.4km of track serving 16 stations.
