Mumbai seeks supplier for 378 metro cars

DELHI Metro Rail Corporation, on behalf of Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority, has issued a call for tender for the supply of 378 standard-gauge metro cars for the Mumbai Metro Rail Investment Project.

The winning supplier will be expected to design, manufacture, supply, test and commission the vehicles, and will have 210 weeks from the award of the contract to complete delivery. The project will follow international Competitive Bidding procedures and will be conducted in accordance with the part-financier of the contract, Asian Development Bank’s Single-Stage two envelope bidding procedure.

MMRIP encompasses 58km of metro projects, specifically lines 2A from Dahisar to DN Nagar; 2B from DN Nagar to Bandra and Mandale; and line 7 from Dahisar to Andheri.
As well as metro vehicles, ADB is supporting the finance of track, signalling and systems.

The deadline for bids is June 12 2018 at 15.00 Indian Standard Time.
