CZECH Railways (ČD) will modernise and rebuild 27 restaurant cars of type WRmee816, WRmee814 and ARmpee832 into a new type of bistro car.

Most of the type ARmpee coaches will be fitted with the same interior as 1st class, including adjustable seats and tables, which is based on the modernised design used on ČD’s class 680 Pendolino tilting EMUs. Along with a new lighting and audio-visual passenger information system, including an electronic reservation system, the coaches will also be fitted with 230V power sockets, USB ports and passenger Wi-Fi.

The galley equipment of the ARmpee cars will also be upgraded, with the same stainless steel kitchen units used on the Pendolino fleet.
